Almost too addictive! Its the one game I play every day. I already miss the bug where tilebot occasionally got stumped for a while and gave me a chance to win a level I normally cant. I wish tilebot were slower on the impossible levels. Im looking at you, "I love Mahjong".
Love the challenge. Totally engrossing
New speed way too fast. Love the game but not the new speed.
I love this game. Its my go to game.
Cant stop! Love how you can move the board. Love how it reshuffles when youre out of matches. My neck gets sore because I cant put it down!
The wife and I play this game very day. With the new set up of only dropping back one game it will make it more interesting. Not sure if the computer is going faster or not on some of the games as havent played that many games since the update.
I agree with most of the reviews. I play this game daily but since the last update, layouts that I used to win all the time are now ones that I lose on regularly. I have dropped 15 levels from where I was before the update. Tilebot is too fast!
I love this game but even after the update, the tilebot still stops after reshuffling, and I catch up and win, although not all the time now. I went from level 130 down to 113, but before the last 2 updates, I was averaging around level 60 which was more of a challenge. Please fix.
Part of the reason I play games is to reinforce my ego after a hard day, to remind myself that I might have some value after all. If I wanted a game that can’t be defeated, I could stick to real life. Once a player gets to a high enough level, the game pretty much decides who is going to win before the game starts. Only a masochist would play knowing that game will eventually place winning out the reach of even the best player. The speed of the game by itself would be one thing. I would probably lose on this alone, if I ever got to that level. But the game has both inherent an egregious advantages. Inherent: The human player has to locate and use eye-hand coordination to remove tiles. The game knows where all the tiles are and never misses them. The human doesn’t know where the tiles are and has to search for them. The human player has to hit the tile almost exactly to choose it; misses are common. The tiles can be made larger but then the field of play becomes so large that the tiles take much longer to scan, even if all the tile remain visible on the screen. In some of the larger stacks enlarging the tile moves some of them beyond the border of the screen making it imperative to move the stack to see all of them. Egregious: The game chooses the stack and the speed of play. Since I am old, maybe that is why I can’t keep up with the speed of some stacks (that’s not the game’s fault, that’s on me.) Some of the stacks have 400 or 500 tiles. A computer can remember 400 or 500 tiles. Without an eidetic memory, a human can only remember a handful. I consider this fair play when there are only 3 or 4 hidden tiles and they are located in a relatively small area. Some stacks have as many as 50 or 60 tiles that are hidden from any (and all) particular vantage(s). Others have matching tiles that are only visible from different vantages. When the player goes to turn the stack, often the first tile selected “unselects” and it takes several attempts to select both the tiles. There are times the tiles are so hidden and the stack must be turned at such an extreme angles (and it takes a while to find the one particular angle from which the hidden tile is visible) that it is hard to even read the tile. Again, the computer player doesn’t need to see the tiles to play them and it never misses the tiles it selects. Setting this type of impediments in the way of the human player ultimately makes the game unsatisfying.
Fun game to play! My favorite Mahjong game!
First this complaint: tell me the nickname is taken BEFORE I write the review. It disappears, and you have to start all over again. The game is terrific. Very enjoyable. However, I agree with those who have complained about the speed of the tile bot in the updated version. Some of the layouts that I could almost always win before are virtually impossible to get now. I enjoy a challenge, but not an unreasonable one. The more layouts that seem to be impossible to beat, the less likely that people will play the game.
Ive been playing this game for a long time now, and have yet to get tired of it. IMHO, it is the best Mahjong ap out there, and I play it daily, and have tried almost all of them. I love the tilebot, the variety of layouts, and the scoring system. The only suggestions I would make are: leave the name of the layout up through the entire play; and add an easier version to the challenge mode as follows. When a layout is lost, only lose two levels, not three. Thank you so very much for this amazing game!!! Update: since the recent update, the game has definitely changed. Not sure yet how to rate it. My levels and score have dropped, and it is much harder to complete the layouts because of the increased speed of Tilebot. Ive gone from averaging levels in the 80s and 90s back to the low 70s. I do like a good challenge, so will keep playing to see how it works out.
Update: (Wish I could also to a one or two star rating). Added: The longer I play this updated version, the more I realize how much Tilebots speed has increased, so much so that it is more frustrating than "a challenge". I even visited the developers Facebook page to see if others were reporting the same, and the responses they received from him were borderline rude. He essentially tells each one that the speed is the same, and that if they feel it is too fast, then they should just play a lower level. Very disappointed, after all these years of playing this game. Original Review: Ive been playing this version for years, but since the last update, the Tilebots speed seems to have increased a lot on certain layouts. Levels I used to win easily are over before I know it. Also, there are so many layouts available, but in Scramble mode you keep seeing the same ones repeatedly.
This is the best MahJong app Ive played so far lots of fun.
This is the BEST Mahjong game Ive played! Its just plain addicting! Ive turned friends and family onto it and they love it too!!
Why did you change this once-excellent game? How long will I attempt to play this game with ZERO ability to advance? Not long, developer, not long. The computer just races past the human, who has no chance of winning, no matter how fast he goes because the computer will always go faster. Its not a fair game and I have no interest in failing at lightning speed. Fix it. Ive been playing this game for years but Ill be leaving.
Ever since the update, the tilebot moves a little too fast. Some of the levels I am SPEEDING through it, and it still beats me by a lot. It doesnt seem realistic or reasonable.
Great for the mind
They keep improving it. It is one of my favorite games on the iPhone. It starts easy but rapidly becomes difficult.
